MOVING TOWARD US

OUR VISION
We cannot do that which is beyond our imagination. Changing the trajectory of a school or organization takes more than just intention. It takes a willingness to look at the reality of where we are today learning from the past and building toward a better future. Becoming Us Collective honors your commitment to change and endeavor to walk along side you as you move toward your vision of a better future.

We Believe
01
Collectivist Collaboration.
Throughout our vision, we hold to the truth that collaboration and community are central to building human-centered organizations with a commitment to engaging and supporting those on the margin. Who we are, were and are becoming is key to making a better future.
03
Imaginative Creativity.
Within in all human spaces, there is space for creativity if we are willing to risk going beyond what we have experienced ourselves. We cannot do that which is beyond our imaginations and are committed to supporting others as the journey into a beautiful and equitable future.
02
Transformational Justice.
Transformational Justice requires a commitment to both repairing the individual incidences of harm and addressing the conditions and system that enabled the injustice and harm to occur.
04
Paradoxical Hope.
Paradoxical Hope shows up on the other side of hopelessness. In spaces where conversations about hope are often anemic, we hold to a hope that exists beyond what we presently see and experience. We will continue to hope until every person who has been targeted experiences freedom from oppression.
CLIENT STORIES
Teacher, 12th grade
"This is one the best professional development days I've ever had. It was engaging and allowed for our own personal reflection as well as the reflection of the systems around us. I also appreciated that you came for further coaching in the months following the PD."
Administrator, High School
"I've already told two of my colleagues at other schools about this leadership training. It was so good how you allowed us to name what we would like to make better and guided us in ways that we could make the system work for students and families."
Restorative Practices Coordinator, 9-12 grades
"This was a great workshop in many ways. It provided space for internal/personal exploration about race and bias while also contextualizing these concepts into the systems and structures that affect us in schools and in society. There was a good mix of content delivery and engaging activities. Even though the workshop was relatively short, it provided a great framework from which to continue with identity work and systems critiques and changes. I strongly believe that every administration team in the district should get some form of this workshop if the district is committed to realizing its goal of providing safe spaces and equitable opportunities for all of its students and educators."
